I hate the idea of blogs

I despise blogs. So why did I start one? To tell people I hate them, of course!
Think about it, professional idea-makers say blogs are going to replace the media. Do they actually read blogs? It's just a whole bunch of random thoughts of random people. I could tell you any lie, and there'd be no way to know. Take this as an example:

"It is a known fact that water spirals counterclockwise below the equator and clockwise above"

I'm sure many people have heard this rumor, and the above statement says it's a KNOWN FACT. Unfortunately, I lied. Water will go down at whatever angle you drop it at. Try it, it's fun!
This is just a little white lie. What if someone were to announce that they had made cold fusion, and then put the steps on how to make a bomb on it? People would try it, stupidly, and blow themselves up. And as long as the author had a little disclaimer at the bottom, he couldn't get in any trouble. You could say anything on here.
The media has a reputation to uphold, so they try to stick to the facts, usually. With blogs, there's no need for reputations, since you can just delete negative comments.

Other than all that, I guess blogs are an okay thing... just not something to be taken as serious forms of information. Unless I say it, because I am king.
