Philosophy
Philosophy is a very interesting subject for me, and I engage in philosophical conversation whenever possible. Use of metaphors and the like are wonderful ways of getting points across, and in doing so, I often discover an offshoot of an idea that I hadn't thought of. If you know me, and you probably do if you're reading this, you most likely know a bit about this. But one thing that needs to be considered is that philosophy is not life. Often, 'great' philosophers will concentrate their whole lives to their ideas. This is wrong to me.
A philosophy should not be a way to live life. It should be a tool for looking at life in a different light. Theories are, of course, only theories, and should not be taken seriously until proven without a scientific doubt to be a law of the natural order of things. With that in mind, I would like to share some of my theories on life.
Theory I:
The world is based on perspective, with every being having a different view, outlook, and memory of the world they all live in. It makes more sense to view the world as not one reality, but billions of them. One for each being, and they often overlap with each other. Sometimes these overlaps create a friction, causing disagreement. Sometimes the overlaps will work together harmoniously, which ends up with a greater understanding of each being's separate reality, like learning or discovering something new. Often, these realities become crowded with other realities, and loose track of themselves, being so overlapped that they seem to become one, resulting in cults or clans. Mob mentality is a good example of too many realities overlapping each other with too much friction. Other times, realities will suffer from a lack of interaction, like an unused saucer, sitting there and gathering dust. Contentment is finding how many other realities must be overlapped with yours, and balancing your world accordingly.
Theory II:
People are basically evil/insane. Sanity is an invention of man, to describe the habits of the masses. Anything other than the group norm is declared insane and must be removed. The idea of good and evil is also a man-made characteristic. The natural status of people is evil. If someone wants something and he/she (referred to as (s)he because I'm lazy.) can get it without getting into more trouble than it's worth, (s)he'll attempt to get it. That is the general view of evil most often: trying to get what you want, or instant gratification. Therefore, good is going against the natural instincts of your existence (Remember this is philosophy, not a guideline to life). In a natural environment, kindness is weakness, and beings that are nice will die. I wouldn't last a minute in such an environment, nor would I ever have been born, but that's another story.
Theory III:
I'm going to be very sexist right about now. I hate the male gender, and I'm disgraced to be part of it. From what I see of females, however, I don't want to be one of those, either. Before you write angry reviews at me, let me explain. First, girls seem to care way too much about appearance for me. I don't give a damn if I look like a dirty hippie, though smell is a bit different... I also dislike the spending money on random things, taking forever to dress, and most of the rest of the stuff girls care about. This, of course, is being extremely general, since I'm sure many girls are not actually like this, but most of the ones I know are. Guys are just as bad, if not worse, though in different ways. Most any guy thinks about something sexual, or something in a sexual nature almost constantly. I truly believe a guy can not get raped after age 14, because hey, free sex. That, of course, is only true in the case of a female rapist (or male if said victim is homosexual. Sorry, I sort of botched that, but you can figure it out, and if you can't, I don't want to know you, you stupid fuck. Just kidding). Now then, back to the topic at hand. I'm sure any guy on earth is willing to have sex at any time unless he is tired. And no, that's not just an excuse, we really do get too tired to do anything. Either we say that, or fall asleep on top of you, and I doubt you'd like that. (Haha, that's pretty funny....) Of course, this is also mostly general, except for the willingness, because I really believe that's something built into us, and re-enforced because of the media and other such influences. Finally, the thing that sets 'good' men and 'bad' men apart is 'good' men come to terms with this and learn to hide it, though it's never removed. What did I say before? Humans are basically evil. Now you can yell at me.
Theory IV:
Hmm... I guess my fourth theory is gonna be my "universe" theory. Let's look at the word. Uni, meaning one, and verse, meaning a line, often of songs, poetry, or anything beautiful like that. Basically, one pretty line. Being a great fan of music, this could be something from a song I like. Maybe "A shelter... From pigs on the wing", or "he told me of the beauty hidden in our foreheads, and he told me of the ugliness we show instead". Something that's meaningful and important to me... My universe. Now, being a programmer as well, it could be a line of code. Something like the infamous Visual Basic "On Error Resume Next". All it does is continues on to the next line if an error occurs, which is VERY bad programming. But, based on the situation of the world, I'd say it fits pretty well. If you screw up, just go on to the next thing. Pretty damn human to me.
Four of my philosophical theories is more than enough for you. If you hear any more, you may end up thinking I'm insane, and you'd be right (see my definition).
